Elisa Aglae Gutiérrez Alonso, born on April 20, 1988, in Mexico, is a Crossfit athlete and sports coach. With a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing, she has shown an outstanding trajectory both in the professional and sports fields.
After working for three years as a marketing coordinator at a major Mexican newspaper, Elisa worked as an account executive at a promotional and uniforms company. During that time, she also found Crossfit as a recreational way to train and stay in shape.
However, everything changed during the pandemic when Elisa lost her job. Faced with this situation, she decided to make use of her free time to train more intensively and obtain certifications in various sports disciplines. This allowed her to become a sports coach and athlete starting in 2020.
Elisa has participated in various national and international competitions, including the Copa Independencia in Costa Rica, the Tropical WOD Fest in Acapulco, Mexico, and the Spring Break Games in Morelia, Mexico, among other notable events. Her dedication and efforts led her to achieve the third place in the Individual WOD Challenge in the city of Puebla, Mexico.
As a mother of a 10-year-old daughter who is also getting into the world of Crossfit, Elisa finds great satisfaction in spending time with her family. However, being a mother, homemaker, coach, and athlete presents financial challenges for her, especially this year. Although her goal is to excel at the national level as a Crossfit athlete, the responsibility of being a mother limits the amount of money she can allocate to competing, as she must first meet her daughter's needs.
Despite these difficulties, Elisa has set clear goals for her sports career. She dreams of representing her city, state, and country in national and international competitions, and her next challenges include the Black Challenge MX in August 2023 in Mexico City and the FSC in October 2023 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The story of Elisa Aglae Gutiérrez Alonso is a testament to her determination and passion for Crossfit, overcoming obstacles, and balancing her responsibilities as a mother and athlete.
